Welcome to the "Members Page" of our website. We hope this page will benefit our members with up-to-date information on upcoming events, fundraisers and overall information of the direction in which Distrcit 15 heads.

Golf Outings/Events
The annual Nassau County Labor Picnic will be taking place on September 21 from 12 Noon - 5:00 PM at Eisenhower Park in East Meadow. The tickets are $15.00 per person for non-union members and FREE for Union Members. Bring the family and enjoy rides, food, drinks, and laughs with fellow workers.

Raffle Information

Raffles to benefit the Guide Dogs of America. The drawing will be on 10/6/08 at the District 15 Meeting and will be published on the website:
1st prize - 40" LCD TV
2nd Prize - Surround Sound System
3rd Prize - Garmin Navigation System

Tickets are 1 for $1.00 or 6 for $5.00

District 98 in York, PA is raffling a Harley Davidson "FLHX 2008 Street Glide 105th Anniversary Addition" motorcycle. Tickets are $5 each or 5 for $20.00. The drawing is June 2, 2008 at Noon in the District 98 office. Business Agents have tickets or they can obtain tickets by calling 1-800-434-6720. We thank all that participated last year, all proceeds went to the "Guide Dogs of America" and helped raise approximately $18,000 dollars. Last year's winner was Steven Herler from the N.Y. Daily News.

Executive/Member Meetings
District 15 and Local 447 Meetings will now be combined. For Local 447 members, the meetings will be held on the first Monday of every month. The District 15 Meetings will be held quaterly. Start times are approximately 5:30 P.M. Please call (718) 422-0090 for exact dates and location.

Scholarships

The 2009 IAM Scholarship Competition is open to IAM members and their children. Awards to members are $2,000 per academic year and $1,000 per academic year for members children. The deadline is February 27, 2009. Contact Marianne at (718) 422 -0090 for a brochure.

Maritime Port Council of Greater New York and Vicinity is offering two scholarship awards in the amount of $2000.00 per scholarship to District 15 members dependent's. Deadline in April 15, 2008

Join Our Mailing List

District 15 holds many events to benefit it's members and others in need. We recently have invited our members to attend the Labor Day Parade in NYC, the Long Island Labor Picnic in Eisenhower Park, Golf Outings in both New England and New York and Harley Davidson Fundraisers for the Guide Dogs of America. Retirees Club

The history of the retirees club extends back to Fairchild Republic Aviation on Long Island, New York. The majority of our retired brothers and sisters who belong to the club are members of IAM Local 434 and invite any IAM retiree to join. Union dues are $10.00 per year. The club meets the second Thursday of every month at 11:00AM at 300 Broadway, Amityville, New York. No meetings in July and August.
