Rally Against D'Addario

DaadarioRat.jpg

District 15 began organizing the Maintenance Mechanics at D'Addario during the Summer of 2006 and won an NLRB Election in November of 2006. However, after three years of negotiations and several charges for violations of NLRA, a collective bargaining agreement was never reached. Recently, a Tentative Agreement was reached and a Ratification Vote was scheduled for August 18th. Unfortunately, the Company, with guidance from Jackson Lewis, once again interfered with the employee's free choice and their efforts to obtain a collective bargaining agreement. Above is a picture from the rally held in front of the D'Addario plant. Click here to view the album.

In 1972, Paul was elected as shop steward and from there went on to hold many union positions. He was elected to Local Lodge 264 Executive board, Recording Secretary, Vice President, and then elected President in 1991. Soon after, in 1996, Paul was appointed District Organizer, elected Business Representative and re-elected in 2000 when he became the Directing Business Representative for District 38. Paul continued his career as a Business Representative for District 15 until his retirement in July 2009. We appreciate Paul’s dedicated years of service to the District and the IAM&AW.
